Action! (Closed to Fayt and Cliff)
[She'd just settled down for the night in her room in the castle. Fayt, Cliff, Maria, and Mirage had left for the heavens in their ship and Albel Nox was back in Airyglyph (to stay forever she hoped) and Roger was back in his village. Things on Elicoor II were back to the way they were supposed to be. Clair would be returning from Arias soon and they could have dinner with Adray. She was looking forward to writing up the reports that she would submit to her queen. Somehow, the time spent doing that allowed her to clear her mind of anything trivial.
When she was done with that, she turned in. Of course, upon waking, she could tell there was something wrong.
The castle was never this quiet. Nor was it ever this warm. Aquaria was an temperate nation, yes, but this was...sweltering. Not as bad as the Dunes of Mosel, no, but much warmer than it should be for a drafty, huge castle surrounded by moving water all the time.
Cautiously, she opened one green eye, keeping the rest of her body completely still.
The first thing she saw was steam. That, coupled with the heat, had Nel up and on her feet before she thought it through. Unfortunately, the ground was smooth rocks and covered in water. She tripped and it was only her natural balance and agility that kept her from striking her head against the lip of the obvious hot spring pool that the steam was covering. Unfortunately, that meant she went into the water. Fully clothed.
It was an extremely not happy Head of Intelligence that climbed out of the mineral pool, New Feather dress dripping wet and hair obscuring her face. She shoved the sopping blood-red strands out of her face before she stomped over to the door that was visible as a breeze blew through the bathing area. She threw the shoji screen open, grabbed a towel from what appeared to be a basket in a changing room. There was a book underneath the first towel. A book with her name on it.
Before looking it over, she dried off her hair as best she could and wrapped the mysterious book in her towel before making her way through the rest of the building. Her clothes and daggers were missing. If she was attacked, she'd have to rely solely on Runology. Not that she couldn't do that if she had to, but she disliked being limited in her options of defense.
She stopped in the lobby by the large stone pillar-like object, curious about the door. She pushed it open and her eyes were drawn immediately to the rune for life etched on the back of the small room. Nel stepped forward to get a closer look and the door closed behind her. Before she could get out, she was enveloped in a bright light, landing in another closet-like room. She pushed the door open and stumbled into a brightly lit room.
Only to see the faces of two of her companions.]
Fayt? Cliff? What are you doing here? [Guys, please ignore that most of her tattoos are on display in this thing and that it's sticking to her body, yes? Please.]
Video - Open to all
[After some time with Fayt, Nel's learned out how to use this stupid journal thing. And she's found her normal clothes. And her daggers. She feels almost okay again. Except for the realization of where she is and what's happened. She knows that she can just address the book and that others will see a picture of her with her name attached so that she doesn't have to give it.]
So, I find myself in an unusual spot. I'm not used to being held captive in so open a space. Is there a particular reason that we are allowed to roam around as if we were ants in a child's terrarium?
Locked to Symbology Users - Requires the use of the 'Life' Rune -
To the one responsible for the te-le-porter [that word is said slowly so she doesn't mess it up], it's an ingenious use of Runology. I might not be a researcher, but I've never seen it used that way before. Fayt said that Runology is called Symbology in the rest of space. If you have some time, I'd like to speak to you.
